Can he fill the shoes?

It’s one of those inevitable things in the fashion industry, an old patron stepping down, leaving the reins for new blood to run the show. Hedi Slimane, the French photographer turned fashion designer, held the position of creative director for Dior Homme for 4 years. I’m sure people were shocked to receive the news, but I wouldn’t give it too much thought, both Slimane and Vacarello, the new CD, have a very similar vision and creative works, exposed for the world to see on the last day of February this year. Anthony Vacarello is following in the footsteps of great designers, Slimane, Pilati, and have huuuuge shoes to fill in the iconic brand that is Saint Laurent.

Thoughts? I know for sure that I didn’t like his first collection, or the way Saint Laurent is headed.
